As a member of the House Committee on Veterans' Affairs and chairman of the Economic Opportunity subcommittee, much of my work in Congress focuses on opening opportunities for veterans to transition smoothly into civilian life and find employment after their service.

Ohio employers have a strong record of hiring veterans, and we are taking this opportunity to learn their best practices. We're not just talking about hiring veterans though; following the hearing, I am hosting a Veterans' Job Fair so veterans can connect directly with employers.
