WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Brad Wenstrup (OH-02) released the following statement after President Donald J. Trump’s first address to a joint session of Congress: “In November, the collective voice of the American people reverberated across the country and shook Washington to its core. Americans want jobs, not new programs. They want progress, not more promises. They want access to healthcare, not just access to insurance. Hardworking taxpayers want our country to be rebuilt – not on their backs, but by their hands. Tonight, the President laid out a bold vision to turn those priorities into realities. With a unified Republican government, we now have a new opportunity to recharge our economy, rebuild our military, and return to the limited government that has historically defined our democracy. It is my hope that, as a nation, we can unite around these ideas that bring us together, make us stronger, and move us towards a future that is brighter and freer than ever before.”
