WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Brad Wenstrup (OH-02) issued the following statement in response to Secretary of State Rex Tillerson’s announcement that Otto Warmbier has been released by North Korea: “Otto Warmbier’s detention by the North Korean regime was beyond human decency and civility. Secretary of State Tillerson has confirmed his release and return to his family, but the pain and heartache endured by Otto’s family and friends over the past 18 months can never be undone or erased. While my words cannot fully convey my sentiments, let us continue to hold the entire Warmbier family in our prayers, as we work tirelessly for the liberation of the remaining Americans imprisoned in North Korea.” |
