On Friday, Archbishop McNicholas High School in Cincinnati was packed with students, faculty, family, and friends as Sgt. Frank Buschmeier, a World War II veteran from Milford, received the French Legion of Honor Medal, which he earned in his service to his country. This medal is the highest honor issued by the French government in gratitude to those U.S. troops who risked their lives defending liberty.

Thank you, Frank, for your service to our country. As a U.S. Representative and veteran, it was an honor to be a part of this inspiring event.  You can watch the full ceremony, here.

It is an honor each day to serve as a member of the House Veterans Affairs Committee to ensure that veterans like Frank receive the thanks and recognition that they have earned and deserve after dedicating their life to our country and our freedom.

P.S. Click here to learn about the multiple bills the House of Representatives passed last week for our veterans.
