Wenstrup Statement on Otto Warmbier

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Brad Wenstrup (OH-02) released the following statement in memory of Otto Warmbier’s passing, on this day one year ago:

“Last June, the Cincinnati community and our nation lost a cherished son, brother, and friend. A year after his brutal mistreatment at the hands of the North Korean regime, Otto Warmbier endures in our memory and our actions. I stand with his parents, Fred and Cindy, as they continue to champion human rights and I know that they have the full friendship of the American people. In Otto’s memory, we can neither allow nor forget North Korea’s human rights abuses. One year after his death, we continue to demand a murderous regime be held accountable, we remain proud of Otto’s spirit and grateful for his time on this earth. The Warmbier family is in our prayers, always,” said Congressman Brad Wenstrup.
