Wenstrup Presents Posthumous Military Service Medals

Congressman Brad Wenstrup (OH-02) posthumously honored Veteran SFC James H. Branam Jr. with medals earned during his 21 years of service in the U.S. Army. Congressman Wenstrup presented the medals to Branam’s wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Branam, who survives him. The ceremony took place on Tuesday at the Clermont County Veterans Commission in Batavia, Ohio. Medals awarded include: The Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, 6th Award, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon with numeral 2, Expert Badge with Carbine Bar, Sharpshooter Badge with Rifle Bar, Marksman Badge with Missile Bar, and the Korean Defense Service Medal. “I am honored to recognize James Branam Jr.’s 21 years of military service. As is clear from his range of awards, James Branam Jr. was a reputable soldier and exemplified the spirit of ‘service above self.’ Our nation is grateful to James Branam Jr. It is a privilege to properly honor and recognize his memory,” said Congressman Brad Wenstrup.
