Rep. Wenstrup Statement on New Information Regarding Special Counsel Mueller’s Report

Washington, March 24, 2019 | Ann Tumolo (202-225-3164)

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Representative Brad Wenstrup (OH-02) released the following statement after Attorney General William Barr delivered conclusions from the special counsel’s report to Congress:

“The Special Counsel has reached the same conclusion as the House Intelligence Committee: There is no evidence of collusion between President Trump or his campaign and Russia during the 2016 presidential election. None of the indictments issued over the course of the investigation indicate collusion.

“The Special Counsel, with unlimited time and resources, spent two years and millions of dollars to arrive at these findings. If my colleagues in Congress think Mueller is incorrect and have any evidence that proves otherwise, as Chairman Schiff and other Democrats have repeatedly claimed, I suggest they share it now.

“As Attorney General Barr’s letter states, Putin’s goal was to 'sow social discord' in American society, and it’s a shame he succeeded in dividing us. I look forward to the public release of the Special Counsel’s report, as I voted for earlier this month, so the country can finally put this behind us,” said Congressman Brad Wenstrup
