Washington, December 11, 2019 | Ann Tumolo (202-225-3164)

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Representative Brad Wenstrup (R-OH) released the following statement after voting for the FY2020 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA):

“This year’s NDAA will improve our military readiness by investing in modernization, military construction, and operations and maintenance accounts. The FY2020 NDAA will update the United States’ weapons capabilities to serve as a deterrent to China and Russia, including improvements to the nuclear triad. These important improvements are coupled with increased support for our troops. I’m proud to support a bill that assures our troops that we stand with them,” said Congressman Brad Wenstrup.

Congressman Brad Wenstrup has served in the U.S. Army Reserve since 1998, currently holding the rank of Colonel. In 2005-2006, he served a tour in Iraq as a combat surgeon and was awarded a Bronze Star and Combat Action Badge for his service.  In 2018, he was awarded the Soldier’s Medal for heroism. During his time in Congress, Brad is fulfilling his Reserve duties by treating patients at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda.
