Protecting the Right to Life
Dear Friend,

As your Representative, it is my responsibility to uphold the Constitution and protect the freedoms granted to us by our Founding Fathers. It is our collective duty to protect the most vulnerable in our society—unborn babies.

I believe we should not allow that deadly and sad story of devaluing life to be written again on our watch. Ending a life too soon will always leave us wondering what might have been. It is encouraging that the case for treating unborn children as human is increasingly bolstered by advances in science and technology. Yet the core of the issue will always be a commitment to the deeply-held belief that every human life has inherent worth and value -- from the moment of conception up until the day they die. That is the idea that set our nation apart from its founding and that idea will define our future.

Recently, I wrote an opinion piece underlying the importance of protecting the right to life for all individuals, and the mounting scientific evidence of the fact that life begins at conception.

We cannot turn our backs on our own humanity by valuing certain lives over others. I have worked to preserve the lives of all humans throughout my time in Congress. Currently, I am a cosponsor of multiple pieces of legislation supporting the sanctity of life, including the Defund Planned Parenthood Act, the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Act, the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act, the Protecting the Dignity of Unborn Children Act, and the Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act.

I am proud to support and protect the right to life.

Sincerely,

Brad Wenstrup
U.S. Representative
