Wenstrup Selected to Serve on Ways and Means Committee

Washington, May 16, 2018 | Ann Tumolo (202-225-3164)

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Brad Wenstrup (OH-02) was selected to serve on the Ways and Means Committee.  The Ways and Means Committee has jurisdiction over taxation, trade, health care, Medicare and Medicaid, Social Security, and welfare.

“I am honored to serve as an advocate for Ohio on the Ways and Means Committee.  I am eager to work with Chairman Brady and the Committee to fight for the doctor-patient relationship in health care, improve our programming to help more people rise from poverty, expand economic opportunities for all, and advance America’s free enterprise leadership in the world.  These issues motivated me to run for office, and they intersect with my life’s works and experiences.  Most importantly, these issues greatly impact all Ohioans, families, workers, and businesses,” said Congressman Brad Wenstrup.

Wenstrup was welcomed to the Committee by Chairman Kevin Brady:

“Dr. Wenstrup is an excellent choice to join our Committee. A decorated war veteran, small business owner, and doctor, Brad brings proven dedication to our country and invaluable experience to the team. I am excited to welcome Brad aboard as we take action to combat the opioid crisis, help move people off the sidelines and back into the workforce, and build upon tax reform to accelerate our economy.”
