WASHINGTON, D.C. – This week, the House of Representatives passed over 30 bipartisan bills to combat the opioid crisis, building on the $4 billion passed earlier this year to address the issue. The House-passed legislation focuses on treatment and recovery, prevention, protecting communities, and fighting fentanyl. Congressman Wenstrup (OH-02) released the following statement: “This week, the House passed over 30 bipartisan bills that address several critical facets of the opioid epidemic, including recovery, treatment, and addiction prevention. In addition, we have worked to pass legislation that will curb drug traffic at our ports and borders to protect our Ohio communities. There is still more work to be done, but these bills are a significant step to help families touched by the opioid crisis across America,” said Congressman Brad Wenstrup. Follow Rep.
