WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Wenstrup (OH-02) released the following statement after the House passed the Veterans Benefits and Transition Act of 2018, including two bipartisan bills introduced by Congressman Wenstrup (H.R. 4451, H.R. 5882):

“Our nation made a promise to support our troops from the day they take their oath of office through their post-service careers, and the Veterans Benefits and Transition Act of 2018 makes good upon that promise. The Homeless Veterans’ Reintegration Programs Reauthorization Act (H.R. 4451) makes critical eligibility changes to VA employment programs, empowering homeless veterans to re-enter the workforce and regain self-sufficiency. The Gold Star Spouses Leasing Relief Act (H.R. 5882) ensures that Gold Star families can quickly terminate a residential lease after the death of a service member. I thank my colleagues for supporting these bills to assist our veterans and their families,” said Congressman Brad Wenstrup.
