WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, Congressman Brad Wenstrup (OH-02) offered the following statement after the House unanimously agreed to extend the deadline to apply for the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) until August 8, 2020:
“With large sums of funds still unspent and the deadline about to expire, extending this needed program was common sense. Businesses who still need the PPP now have additional time to access these critical funds so they can keep their doors open and employees on the payroll,” said Congressman Wenstrup.
The bill to extend the PPP application deadline now heads to President Trump’s desk.
More information about how to apply for the PPP can be found here.
