WASHINGTON, D.C. – During the April District Work Period, Congressman Brad Wenstrup (OH-02) sat down with various healthcare professionals and toured multiple hospitals, health centers, and medical care facilities across Ohio’s Second District as part of his ongoing district healthcare tours and listening sessions. Included in these visits were Mercy Health – Anderson Hospital in Anderson Township, Atricure in Mason, HealthSouth in Norwood, and Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe. Congressman Wenstrup toured the facilities, met with staff and leadership, and spent time listening to medical professionals’ thoughts on healthcare reform and how the government can better assist their efforts. “As a doctor myself, my top priority is to provide patients with the most options and best access to affordable, quality care possible,” said Congressman Wenstrup. “I greatly valued the opportunity to listen to differing viewpoints from local medical professionals of across multiple fields – since these men and women are not only issue experts, but also the ones who are on the ground, every day, dealing with the realities of our healthcare system. I’m committed to continuing these constructive conversations as well as working in Congress to implement free-market solutions that lower costs and prioritize patient-centered care.” |
