Congressman Bards Wenstrup (R-OH), a veteran and member of the House VA Committee, released the following statement on Rob Nabors’ visit to Ohio VA medical facilities:

“While I’m glad that the White House is taking time to personally send someone to tour our VA system, I hope that true reform is not abandoned after this issue recedes from the headlines. We have real structural and cultural problems facing the VA’s ability to deliver care to veterans that need to be fixed, and administrative visits aren’t enough. An immediate action President Obama can take is to call on the Senate to pass the VA Management Accountability Act, instead of watering it down to continue protecting lifelong bureaucrats at the expense of serving veterans."
