Wenstrup Statement on Continuing Resolution

As Defense Secretary Mattis said today during his testimony before the House Armed Services Committee, ‘America can afford survival.’

 WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Brad Wenstrup (OH-02) released the following statement after voting for H.R. 1892 to fully fund our military:

“Today’s legislation includes full funding for the Department of Defense, as previously passed three times by the House of Representatives. I encourage my colleagues in the Senate to quickly pass this legislation and set our troops free from partisan disputes over unrelated domestic issues. As Defense Secretary Mattis said today during his testimony before the House Armed Services Committee, ‘America can afford survival.’

“In addition, this Continuing Resolution also extends funding for various health care programs, including a two-year funding extension for the Community Health Center Fund, a critical source of quality and affordable health care for many Ohioans,” said Congressman Brad Wenstrup.
