MEDIA ADVISORY: Call w/ Rep. Wenstrup, Fellow Intel Committee GOP Members to Discuss Threats at Border

Washington, D.C. - Immediately following a visit along the U.S.-Mexico border, House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) member Congressman Brad Wenstrup (OH-02) will participate in a media call with Lead Republican of the Committee Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) and fellow Committee member Congressman Rick Crawford (AR-01) on the national security threats being intercepted in record-breaking numbers at the border, as well as the briefings they had with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. The Congressmen also received a tour from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) of the U.S. Southwest border.

A shocking number of known or suspected terrorists and transnational gang members have been apprehended at the border in recent months. In their capacity as members of HPSCI, Reps. Wenstrup, Turner, and Crawford traveled for on-the-ground briefings and to review the national security threats present at the Southern border of the U.S.
