Washington, D.C. - Rep. Brad Wenstrup released the following statement after he voted against the CHIPS and Science Act:

“Our country must rise to the challenge that China poses to our national security and economy. Unfortunately, I believe this bill fell short, ultimately adding to our debt during a recession, just as Democrats are promising more tax hikes,” said Rep. Brad Wenstrup. What could have been a broadly bipartisan bill to assert American leadership instead fell victim to Democrats playing politics. I will continue to lead the fight against China’s authoritarian ambitions, bring home and protect important supply chains, and strengthen our national security, global competitiveness, and Ohio’s economy through broad economic growth.”
