WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Brad Wenstrup (OH-02), Chairman of the House Veterans’ Affairs Health Subcommittee, released the following statement after President Trump announced Admiral Ronny L. Jackson, M.D. would replace Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Secretary David Shulkin: “Secretary Shulkin has worked diligently with the Veterans’ Affairs Committee, Chairman Phil Roe, and me, to improve health care for veterans across America. While we still have much work to do, while working with Chairman Roe and Secretary Shulkin, many positive accomplishments during the last year have led to better care and opportunities for our veterans,” said Congressman Brad Wenstrup. “I look forward to working with Admiral Ronny L. Jackson to continue building on the progress we have made to improve care for veterans. As a fellow physician, I’m encouraged to have a physician serve as Secretary of the VA.” |
