Wenstrup Announces Subcommittee Assignments on House Ways and Means Committee

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Representative Brad Wenstrup (R-OH) announced that he would be serving on the Health and the Work and Welfare Subcommittees on the House Ways and Means Committee, and issued the following statement:

"As a doctor and a chairman of the GOP Doctors Caucus, I am excited for the opportunity to continue to serve on these important subcommittees. I am looking forward to working with my colleagues on the Health Subcommittee to provide patient-centered policies and return our focus here in Washington, D.C. to the doctor-patient relationship," said Rep. Wenstrup"In addition, millions of Americans need help rising out of poverty and entering the workforce with jobs that provide meaning and purpose. Our newly named Work and Welfare Subcommittee will place an important focus affording Americans more opportunity."

Background:

Rep. Wenstrup joined the House Ways & Means Committee in May of 2018, serving on the Worker and Family Support and Oversight subcommittees. In the 117th Congress, Rep. Wenstrup was also appointed to serve on the Health Subcommittee.

Rep. Wenstrup was chosen as a co-chair of the GOP Doctors Caucus in the beginning of the 117th Congress and continues in that role in the 118th Congress. The Caucus is comprised of individuals who utilize their medical expertise and backgrounds to develop patient-centered health care policy.
