WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Brad Wenstrup (OH-02) released the following statement after voting for the Spending Cuts to Expired and Unnecessary Programs Act (H.R. 3), which would reduce federal spending by $14.7 billion. “We know that we need to get government spending under control to secure a stable fiscal future. This legislation is a responsible step in the right direction. It eliminates nearly $15 billion in unobligated funds from unneeded, expired, or outdated government accounts and programs. I am proud to support this measure as a step toward getting our fiscal house in order,” said Congressman Brad Wenstrup. |
