Members of the GOP Doctors Caucus sent a letter to World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus urging the WHO to allow Taiwan to engage in meaningful meetings and activities.

“Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, we urged the WHO to thwart the influence of the Chinese Communist Party and allow Taiwan, an exemplary leader in world health, to regain observership status within the WHO,” said the Members of the GOP Doctors Caucus. “Allowing Taiwan to participate in the World Health Assembly will bring us all closer to achieving the WHO’s goal of good health for all, while ensuring we do not cede to the will of the Chinese Communist Party.”
