Last week, Secretary of Energy Rick Perry joined Senator Rob Portman, Rep. Bill Johnson, and me, as well as many of the hardworking men and women at the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant and the ongoing cleanup operation in Piketon, OH.

Earlier this year, I led the Ohio delegation in sending a letter to Secretary Perry, urging this visit, so I hope the tour proved informational and helpful as we continue to partner in cleanup efforts and future enrichment and energy activity.

We finished with a press conference to discuss the importance of this plant to the local economy and the United States' national security.
